Champions and Legends brings February 28, 2026 to life as a community celebration and concert night centered on UFC flyweight standout Joshua “The Fearless” Van.
The evening starts with a meet and greet from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and the line stays steady the entire time. Attendees step up for photos, quick conversations, and a chance to welcome Van in person before the main program begins.
At 7:00 p.m., emcees Sarah Sung and Zing Rem Mawi open the program and guide the room into a more formal tone. Rev. M Khen Sang leads the opening prayer, setting a celebratory but grounded atmosphere. Speeches follow from Yummi Sushi leadership and community partners, including the Yummi Sushi President Scott Bova and Rev. Ni Thang, President of the DFW Churches Fellowship, who speak to the significance of the night and the value of gathering around shared pride and purpose.
Van’s featured segment draws the room’s full attention, and the program then shifts into live music. R. Zarni delivers a set built on strong vocals and emotional hooks, while Jenevy Sui brings high energy and a performance-forward presence that keeps the pace moving. The house band keeps everything tight and driving, with Saw Kueku, Van Bawi Lian, MakPi, James Thang, and Runhlei Thang anchoring the sound throughout the night.
Later, James Balistriere, Yummi Sushi Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Operations, leads a Q and A with Josh Van that produces some of the biggest reactions of the evening. The format feels personal and direct, and when it ends, the concert resumes without losing momentum.
The night closes with a raffle and a closing prayer led by Rev. David Cungcin Thawng, sending attendees out on a warm note after a program that blends recognition, faith, and entertainment.
